Spring. Summer. Fall.
Spring season
Our main league season, generally March through May. Dates may change each season. Registration usually opens in mid-January. Players attend a skill assessment (tryout) before draft day, then teams are drafted. Coach picks do not need to attend.
All-Stars
June 1 to early August, for selected 8U to 18U players. All-Stars have their own tryout and draft, separate from spring.
Fall season
Generally August through October. Fall teams: each coach may freeze up to six players in total, including 2 pitchers and 1 catcher. OMGS then builds the rest of each team, keeping teams as balanced as we can by looking at experience, positions, and more.
Field status.
Important dates.
It takes a whole park.
Coach
Lead a team. Online application, background check, and Child Safety Training required. Applications open soon.
BBQ assignments
BBQ assignments: each team is required to cover one 2-hour BBQ shift during the season. In both Spring and Fall, if a team does not cover its BBQ shift, the team forfeits its next game.
Umpires
D1 Prospects handles umpires for 10U and up. Brooke Olsen, our Vice President, handles 8U umpires: brooke [at] omgsoftball [dot] org.
